2015 is coming to an end and the new year is fast approaching.
Christmas is nearly here and that means our christmas cards are in the festive post. We wanted to make these incredibly personal and feel like a gift to those receiving them.
Our creative team designed a wonderful letterpress card – a traditional printing technique that is now making a resurgence, making it ‘on trend’. Letterpress creates a distinct indentation allowing for great textures and a tactile feel to the final print. Even the paper was specially picked out for its qualities, to ensure the end print looked its very best. The thick board was selected from the GF Smith collection – 540gsm Colorplan in Ice White – an uncoated board with a composition that works beautifully for letterpress.
The crafty, homemade feel of the cards is emphasised by the use of custom hand lettering for the typographical design and the careful hand finishing of every item. Each card was individually hand folded, the envelopes (in suitably seasonal Scarlet colorplan) hand embossed with our company seal and each one assembled in house. Take a look at the photos below!
