2016 was another great year for Nilorn UK.  Not only did we outperform previous years, making it our strongest yet, we continued to grow and progress as a company.

Investing in people is a must at Nilorn and 2016 saw us taking on new staff and apprentices – expanding our internal training programmes and the Nilorn family. This continued development means we are always adding new products to our ever increasing range and increasing our knowledge and experience across the board.

“We have an amazing team here at Nilorn providing exceptional levels of customer service. With an unbelievable blend of age and experience, youth and enthusiasm, our future looks very bright. We have been in business for almost 80 years now and our combined number of years of service now totals exactly 300. Our commitment to apprenticeships also means that currently 30% of our team are either currently in training, or are qualified now with permanent contracts. As our business continues to grow we are creating our own talent pool, and are also able to promote from within – we are growing our own stars of the future! 2017 does look very bright indeed!” – David Hinchliffe, Managing Director

To mark the end of another fantastic year for Nilorn UK, all staff and partners travelled up to Coniston Hotel, North Yorkshire, for our annual recognition event. Managing Director, David, gave us a detailed round up of 2016 before the surprise activities got under way.

The team headed out to the falconry centre – located on the Coniston Estate – to get up close and personal with the Eagles, Owls, Hawks and Falcons, before enjoying a competitive orienteering experience in 4x4s – which was a fun (if a little muddy) experience – but the weather didn’t dampen our spirits!

The celebrations continued into the evening with awards presented in-between dinner courses, including our coveted Nilornian of the Year award – won this year by Laura Procter – voted for by her colleagues for her contribution to Nilorn throughout 2016.

Entertainment for the evening was again provided by live band, The Funtime Frankies – they never fail to get us all up on the dance floor.

Overall it was a great weekend celebrating in true Nilorn UK style – and here’s to a successful 2017.
